Manufacturing Technology Manager - Aerospace

The Aerostructures Operations Strategy organization seeks a proactive professional to help support and lead Strategic Operations Projects. The candidate will be required to drive resolution of technically and/or commercially complex issues in manufacture or supply, developing and analyzing multiple solution options and presenting the down-selected path forward for senior leadership concurrence. The candidate must have demonstrated leadership skills and a proven ability to work in a team environment and be comfortable driving change while being able to effectively partner with and influence other functions to ensure alignment and business success. 
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Interface with internal customers and operational leaders to ensure coordination and integration of strategies and projects across sites or suppliers
  • Manage and support projects using conventional project management tools and visual controls
  • Prepare and conduct regular reviews to ensure that the projects remain on track to meet their strategic goals and objectives
  • The ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively with cross-functional departments of Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, along with Aerostructures senior leadership and other business units
  • Establishment of the transition plan with customer buy-in
  • Execution of the activities to successfully transfer the work packaged within budget and on schedule
  • Interface with internal customers to ensure coordination and integration with the applicable program demand schedule and customer requirements
  • Develop and manage the inventory transition plan to ensure continued supply of products for customers during the transition 
Required Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor degree and 5-7 years of experience in implementing automation/advanced manufacturing engineering applications
  • Must be culturally competent with an inclusive mindset
  • Ability to lead through adversity, push status quo and motivate/influence others
  • Confident in organizational, interpersonal and communication skills across levels and in various settings
  • Robust problem solving skills in both functional areas of operations and interpersonal relationship management
  • Must have strong communication skills and be process-oriented and results driven
