Technical Sales Executive, Automation/Instrumentation Components

Location: Oregon City, Oregon
The company is an industry leader and distributor of industrial electrical equipment. Products include a variety of instrumentation control systems, process controls, industrial components, automation systems, measuring equipment, sensors, heaters and related temperature control equipment.

A Sales Representative is needed to join the sales teams and market products to clients in Northern Oregon and Southern Washington.
 
In this capacity you will:
  • Provide consultative sales to existing accounts and new clients
  • Identify new opportunities for business, maintain profit margins and increase sales volume
  • Develop sales strategies/plans including forecasting and trend analysis
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Present technical information to customers, including cost analyses and product comparisons
  • Remain up-to-date on industry offerings and trends
  • Document sales activities using the CRM
  • Liaise with product suppliers to secure business opportunities
  • Attend industry events as needed
Qualifications
A minimum of 1-3 years of outside technical sales experience of instrumentation control systems, process controls, industrial components, automation systems, measuring equipment, sensors, heaters and related temperature control equipment.
Engineering degree, technical education, or an equivalent combination of education AND/OR related technical sales experience
Strong communicator, articulate and presentable
Experience tracking information through a CRM system and MS Office proficiency
Able to travel 50% of the time and work efficiently from a remote location following a 1-2 month orientation
