Sr. Business Systems Analyst, Workday-HCM

An experienced Senior ​Business System Analyst is needed to join the company's dynamic Information Technology group at the corporate office in Sacramento, CA. 
The Analyst will support the HR business processes including core HR, payroll, benefits administration, talent management, learning management and compensation management.  The Analyst will deliver solutions as the functional and technical expert in the Workday HCM systems area and will participate in HCM implementations and upgrades.

  • Subject matter expert and analyst for Workday HR systems, data and processes
  • Works with and configures Workday HCM systems to meet business needs
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates HR systems and user needs to ensure efficient, accurate and secure use
  • Provides functional support and system knowledge to detect and diagnose problems related to the business process
  • Partners with HR/business to define HCM functional requirements including data, configuration, integration and portal needs
  • Analyzes and develops custom queries and reports in support of business issues
  • Acts as liaison between key business areas including HR, Finance and IT to educate users on both applications and technology and enable business process change
  • Contributes to system improvement and upgrades; works with the business to test new functionality and integrations
  • Trains and supports users regarding use of HCM systems
  • Works to improve manual and automated processes
  • Participates on projects to ensure that deliverables adhere to design requirements and specifications
  • Maintains confidentiality and security of corporate data
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Human Resources or related field
  • 3+ years supporting and configuring Workday HCM systems
  • Expertise in SAAS-based HCM
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, design, configure and support Workday HR data, processes and technology
  • Experience working with Workday HCM core, payroll, benefits and other HCM modules
  • Knowledge of and ability to develop integration of Workday HCM with other systems such as SAP, Kronos, and 3rd party providers
  • Solid knowledge of HR business processes in key areas including human resources core administration, payroll, talent acquisition and management, compensation, learning and benefits
  • Knowledge of Workday HCM reporting, analytics and use of related tools
  • Demonstrated written and verbal skills. Ability to effectively communicate ideas and concepts to peers and the user community
  • Experience developing and implementing business and system process improvements
  • Experience working with business users in understanding and resolving process and system issues
  • Ability to effectively function both individually and in a team environment
  • Self-motivated with ability to prioritize and manage changing priorities
  • Ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude at all times
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of data, reporting results and other company sensitive issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
